Blog Post: Novvia Group Acquires Duval Container Company

Global packaging distributor Novvia Group (C.L. Smith and Inmark) has acquired Duval Container Company, a distributor of plastic, metal, fiber, and glass packaging products. 

Headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, Duval Container is a supplier of drums, totes, boxes, glass, and plastic containers. The company was founded in 1919 and was purchased by the Gills family in 1987. The company’s unique walk-up counter sales offers customers same-day pickup for in stock products. Duval operates out of two warehouse locations totaling 93,000 square feet and has customers across the chemical, agriculture, and food and beverage industries among many others.

“As foreshadowed in the Southern Container announcement, we are bullish on the Southeast market and are delighted to add Duval to help Novvia expand our position in this key geography,” said Executive Chairman Ken Roessler.
